How to protect the Microsoft word document with a password in windows?

Step 1: Open the document and go to ‘File’.

Step 2: Click ‘Info’ and then click ‘Encrypt with Password’ under ‘Protect Document’.

Step 3: Type a password, then type it again to confirm it.

Step 4: Save the file and make sure the password takes effect.
