The menus on my WordPress website is not redirecting to the proper pagesor shows 404 error

Step 1: Log into your cPanel account.

Step 2: Open the File Manager from the cPanel menu.

Step 3: Navigate to the Document Root of your website and create a file .htaccess or edit if already available.

Step 4: Copy and paste the Basic WP code given in the page https://wordpress.org/support/article/htaccess/

Step 5: Save the file and try accessing the menus.
