Step 1: You can download the PrestaShop installation file at http://www.prestashop.com/download to your local computer.
Step 2: Extract the .zip file on your computer.
Step 3: Use FTP or cPanel file manager to upload the extracted files to the document root directory of your Hosting account.
Step 3: Create a MySQL database and database user for PrestaShop. You will need this information during the web configuration process.
Step 4: Use your web browser to go to the installation URL http://www.example.com/install, where example.com represents your domain name.
Step 5: Select a language for the installer to use, and then click Next.
Step 6: Review the license agreement, select the check box, and then click Next. The Store information page appears.
Step 7: Under Information about your Store, fill in the fields with the appropriate information for your store.
Step 8: Under Your Account, fill in the fields to set up a username and password.
Step 9: Click Next. The System Configuration page appears.
Step 10: In the Database name text box, type the name of the database that you created in step 4.
Step 11: In the Database login text box, type the name of the database user that you created in step 4.
Step 12: In the Database password text box, type the password for the database user.
Step 13: Click Test your database connection now!
Step 14: If you receive a Database is connected message, click Next. Otherwise, make sure that you entered the correct database settings, and then try again.
Step 15: The PrestaShop installer creates database tables and configures other settings.
Step 16: This process takes a few minutes. Make sure you do not interrupt the installation process!
Step 17: To log in to PrestaShop, go to the URL http://example.com/admin/login.php, where example.com represents your domain name.
