Step 1: Open Registry editor on your PC from start menu
Step 2: Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\UEV\Agent\Configuration
Step 3: Right-click Configuration, select New > DWORD value
Step 4: Name the value ApplyExplorerCompatFix with a value of 1
Step 5: Now close the registry editor and open the file which threw the error
