How to install MySQL on Windows server 

Step -1: Download the MySQL Installer and download the appropriate version for your Windows server.

Step -2: After download the file, Click the Run button from the Pop-up window at the bottom of your screen.

Step -3: Once you have Clicked the Run program a new pop-up window with the MySQL installer setup appear. It prompts you to select the setup type from the below options.

1.Developer Default

2.Server only

3.Client only

4.Full

5.Custom

Step -4: MySQL Installer displays the requirement check fails to help you update the host in the Check Requirements screen.

For Example, it requires to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2019.

Step -5: Download the appropriate Microsoft Visual C++ version for your server requirements

Click the checkbox to agree to the license and click Install.

Step -6: Once you’ve successfully installed Microsoft Visual C++, return to the MySQL installer and click Next.

Click Execute to download MySQL Server 8.0.29.

Once download is complete, click Next to install MySQL Server.

Step -7: You can see the Product Configuration window once installation is complete, starting with Type and Networking. Choose the appropriate settings for your requirements for the server and click Next.

Step -8: From the Authentication Method, select Use Strong Password Encryption for Authentication, and click Next.

Step -9: The next screen is the Accounts and Role, In this section you can set your MySQL Root Password. Click Next.

Click Finish to apply all the settings and selections.
