Step 1: Go to Start > Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager or open the Run command, then type ‘inetmgr’ and click the OK button.
Step 2: In the left pane, select the server name and double-click on “Server Certificates” under the IIS section.
Step 3: In the actions menu, click on “Complete Certificate Request.”
Step 4: In the Complete Certificate Request wizard, you’ll reach the Specify Certificate Authority Response page.
• Click the “…” box to find and select the .cer file (for example, your_domain_com.cer). Once you’ve done that, click OK to continue.
• Friendly name: Type a name for the certificate (you can add a date at the end to make it easier to identify).
• Select a certificate store for the new certificate: In the drop-down list, choose “Web Hosting.”
Step 5: Now that you’ve successfully installed your SSL certificate, you need to assign the certificate to the appropriate site.
