How to configure IPv6 Settings Using Command Prompt on Windows

Step 1: Click “Start,” point to “Programs,” point to “Accessories,” and then click “Command Prompt.”

Step 2: At the command prompt, type netsh, and then press ENTER.

Step 3: Type interface ipv6, and then press ENTER.

Step 4: Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

add address [interface=] string [address=] ipv6address

This command uses the following values:

[interface=] string: Specifies the name for the interface.

[address=] ipv6address: Specifies the IPv6 address.
